to Build a Computer
|Installing an Operating System: Installation
Installing the operating system is the final step in building your computer. I built a gaming computer so I chose the Windows operating system. However, if you are not interested in video games, I would strongly suggest that you choose a more robust, virus-resistant operating system like Linux or OSX. When installing the operating system, you will likely need to go into the BIOS to set the first boot from the DVD player, rather than the hard drive. The picture to the left illustrates my BIOS settings.
After installing the Windows operating system, you will then need to go to the vendor for your mother board and choose the drivers that you will need to download and install.
