About Me

I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the School of Computing at Clemson University. My advisor is Prof. Hongxin Hu. I received my M.S. in Computer Science from Clemson University and M.E. in Software Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China. I am currently a research assistant in network and system security, and a teaching assistant for graduate level computing and networking security courses at Clemson University.

Research

My research interest lies in network and system security. Networks and systems keep evolving in the past decade, especially thanks to the advances in softwarization, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI). The major objective of my research is to leverage the emerging networking and computing technologies to develop security solutions that are suitable to secure today’s networks and systems. My first research goal is to explore safe and efficient ways to protect the networks for virtualized environments (cloud) and IoT (edge). My second research goal is to develop security mechanisms that can unify the security solutions on both system and network levels. My third research goal falls in investigating safe and efficient ways to leverage AI to enhance security solutions for networks and systems.
