I began working on my PhD in Computer Science at Clemson University in Fall 2012. I passed my PhD portfolio review in October 2013 to become a PhD candidate. I passed my dissertation proposal in September 2014. The defense of my dissertation, titled 'Designing, Building, and Modeling Maneuverable Applications within Shared Computing Resources', is scheduled for April 6, 2015.

My advisor is Dr. Amy Apon and I am member of the Big Data Systems Lab.

I am an Advanced Civil School (ACS) student on a fully funded Fellowship for the United States Army. In the summer of 2015, I will join the faculty of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)Department.

My previous academic experience includes an BS in Computer Engineering from Clemson (class of 1998) and an MS in Computer Networking from North Carolina State University (class of 2009).

My previous military assignments include two deployments in support of Operation Iraq Freedom (2005-2006, 2010). I have been stationed in Texas, Georgia, Alaska, North Carolina, and Maryland.

I am currently a Functional Area 24, Telecommunications Systems Engineer in the rank of Major.
